Cricket formats and competitions you can bet on
In Bangladesh, cricket is more than a game — it is a feeling. cv66 offers betting across three main formats: T20, ODI and Test.
T20: The fastest and most dynamic format. The situation changes every over, so odds move quickly. BPL and IPL T20 matches are the most popular among Bangladeshi fans. Betting interest peaks every season around the Bangladesh Tigers' performance at the T20 World Cup.
ODI: Strategy carries more weight in fifty-over matches. Events like winning the toss, wickets falling in the powerplay or the run rate mid-game all influence the markets.
Test: In a five-day match, patience and analysis matter more. Session-by-session betting markets make Test cricket even more engaging.
Beyond international series, cv66 covers odds for all BPL and IPL matches from the group stage through to the final. Matches at Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla Stadium draw a particularly strong level of local interest.
Beyond cricket — football and other sports
At cv66 you can bet on football as well as cricket. Football has three possible outcomes — team A wins, team B wins, or a draw. In cricket (especially limited overs) there is generally no draw, so odds are split directly between two teams. This difference is worth keeping in mind when analysing markets.
In football, the points table, pitch conditions and player form influence odds. In cricket, the pitch type, weather and toss add different dimensions to betting decisions. cv66 also has various markets for other sports, but cricket and football attract the most attention in Bangladesh.
Before you start betting, it is worth understanding the rules and market structure of each sport. All sports betting options are available in one place at cv66's cv66 Bet section.

Popular betting markets — how they work
Match Winner
The most straightforward market — you bet on which team will win the match. Example: in a match between team A and team B, if you bet on team A and team A wins, you get your return.
Toss Bet
A bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. A short and quick market — the result is known within a few minutes.
Top Batsman
This market is about which batsman will score the most runs in a specific innings — you pick the best performer within a team. The question is simply which batter from team A will score the highest.
Total Runs Over/Under
You predict whether the total runs in a match will be higher (over) or lower (under) than a set number. Example: over or under 160 total runs — pitch and weather play an important role here.
When Will the First Wicket Fall
This market covers at what score or in what over the first wicket will fall in an innings — it depends heavily on the toss and the type of pitch. On spin-friendly pitches, the first wicket is more likely to fall early.
Multi Bet (multiple selections)
You place bets on multiple matches or markets at once and all the odds are multiplied together. Example: three selections at odds 1.40 × 1.70 × 1.80 = 4.28 (approximately) — on a ৳100 bet you get ৳428 back only if all three are correct; if even one is wrong, the full ৳100 is lost.
Handicap Bet
A virtual deficit is given to the stronger team to level things out. Example: giving team A a -1.5 run handicap means 1.5 will be subtracted from team A's score when settling the result.
How odds are written in three formats
Betting platforms display odds in three ways — decimal, fractional and American. All three express the same information differently.
If you win, return is ৳2,500 (৳1,500 profit + ৳1,000 stake); if you lose, ৳1,000 is gone.
American minus odds show how much you need to bet to make ৳100 profit. On a ৳1,000 bet, the return is ৳1,800 (৳800 profit).
cv66 uses decimal format by default — it is the simplest because the total return is shown directly. For more details on betting rules, see the Terms and Conditions page.
Live in-play betting — the situation changes every over
Betting while a match is in progress is called in-play or live betting. It differs from regular pre-match betting because the odds change at every moment.
When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds increase — because their chance of winning has decreased. Conversely, when consecutive boundaries push the run rate up, odds drop quickly. Odds also shift at the end of an over, when the powerplay ends, or when a review is taken.
In Test matches, odds are revised at session breaks — lunch or tea. If batsmen do well in the first session, the probability of a draw increases, which is reflected in the odds for the third outcome (draw).
The advantage of in-play betting is the opportunity to decide based on how the match is going. Keep in mind though — placing too many bets on rapidly shifting odds is not wise. Betting is always for enjoyment — it is best not to think of it as a way to earn money.
